What's New in HubStar Connect 2.38?

The latest version of HubStar Connect is here!

 

Launched on April 14th, Connect v2.38 is about to make your workplace experience better, faster and easier.

 

V38 introduces a series of user experience improvements and time-saving features designed to match employees with the right desk, room or space, every time. That means more time having a productive day in the perfect spot in the office, whatever’s on your to-do list.

 

From smarter suggested desks to more intuitive navigation, every change was made to provide a better workplace experience. 

 

In this post, we’ll walk you through what’s new.

We’ll walk you through three of those new features below. You’ll need to opt in to these features to start using them – contact your account rep to get them switched on! 

 

1) Faster Desk Booking

Suggested Desks just got smarter

Need to book a desk near your colleagues? Connect suggests the best desk in your preferred building based on where your team is sitting. 

 

As well as an overview of who’s in the office, your upcoming meetings and events, you’ll now get matched with the perfect desk . Book in just one click.

One-click reservations with Quick Book

Need to find colleagues ASAP? With the new Quick Book feature you can instantly book the best desk displayed on a floor plan. 

 

Once you see your suggested desk on a floor plan, hit the Quick Book button and reserve in just one click. Reservation summaries are now conveniently displayed in a toast instead of full screen.

2) Live View Preview

 

Want to orientate yourself on a floor plan and see who’s nearby? Use Live View Preview to get more detail and see exactly where colleagues are sitting. This helps your organization plan better team days, build the right level of in-office buzz and boost collaboration. 

 

Open Live from the left hand sidebar and click around a live floor plan to see what’s available and where colleagues are sitting. You can now see your upcoming reservations as well.

3) An improved availability timeline 

Want to see room availability for the whole day and who’s booked what? The improved availability timeline shows when a room is booked and available without needing to scroll, plus the host for any bookings so you can chat with them offline to rearrange things if need be. 

 

Click view details on a room to see the availability and hosts laid out visually.

Extra usability improvements 

  • A more intuitive Find Near

     

    • When choosing a room or desk, click Find near to see your favourite colleagues suggested and jump directly to the colleague you select oriented on a floor plan

  • Filter refinements

     

    • If a search returns no results, easily exclude criteria until you find what you’re looking for

       

  • Automatic capacity filter
     

    • The room capacity filter now automatically adjusts depending on the number of attendees you add, so the best room is always suggested when searching
